8 large apples (I've been using fuji)
1/2 cup apple juice or cider (you can also use water)
1 tsp. cinnamon
Peel, core, and slice apples (the larger the slices, the chunkier the applesauce). Combine apples with other ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Enjoy!

Making applesauce always seemed like such a big undertaking... I was always too afraid to try. But this seems super easy and I can't wait to try it! Thanks!
do you mash the apples afterwards, or should i find a fancy applesauce strainer?
no need for anything fancy! The apples break down on their own and they're super soft by the time they're done. Usually it's a little bit chunky, but you can mash them down more with a wooden spoon if you want...
